Morning routine & sense of possibility

Light

Rise and shine, everybody! It’s a new day!

I wish I was more of a morning person than I already am. I wish I could wake up  at the break of dawn and enjoy more of my morning routine.

You see, I love working/writing/ creating in the morning, but as a young mama ( my daughter is two years old) & creative entrepreneur (I also run a jewellery shop), I can only start my working day at about 9:30 a.m., when the house is quiet and I have enough time and space to allow my creative thoughts to run freely.

Oh, but the morning light…I love it!

It’s amazing, especially on sunny autumn days like this one today.

And it’s not just the light that I adore, but also the immense feeling of possibility that each day brings along – a new day, a new start, a new chance & a new adventure.

Purity

In the morning hours I feel I could do anything, like nothing is too much or too hard, or even impossible. Maybe the blessing of a new beginning has this effect on me. I really don’t now, but it feels great.

The three key points of my morning working routine are:

1// A prayer for the work that’s about to be done

2// A big mug of cold cafe latte

3// An open window (always, even in winter I try to keep it open for as much as I can)

The rest is variable and flexible. I may light a candle or put on some soft jazz music or just work in silence for 3 hours straight before lunch. Also there are days, like today, when I have to press pause on my work several times and get some things done around the house.

I adapt my schedule as I go.

I try to create a routine and then to stick with it – a reminiscence of the past decade, when I was working in the corporate world. My aim is to check off most things on my ever-growing to-do lists, but then again, I don’t make a tragedy out of it, if some things remain pending for the next day.

Some days are calm and peaceful, while others are hectic and super-busy.

That’s just how life is: beautiful & unpredictable .

How about you? What is your morning routine? And is there something you particularly enjoy doing in the morning?

Wishing you a great day today & infinite possibilities,
