I know I said that I’ll be here on my blog every Monday & Thursday, but as there’s a national prolonged weekend in Romania and we’re leaving for a short trip, I thought of posting this a bit sooner.
This morning, I read and shared a status post from someone I follow on social media.
I’m not the biggest fan of Osho – in the sense that I only read a couple of his books – but these words were so beautiful and so close to my heart.
“Immature people falling in love destroy each other’s freedom, create a bondage, make a prison. Mature persons in love help each other to be free; they help each other to destroy all sorts of bondage’s.
And when love flows with freedom there is beauty.
When love flows with dependence there is ugliness.
A mature person does not fall in love, he or she rises in love.
Only immature people fall; they stumble and fall down in love. Somehow they were managing and standing. Now they cannot manage and they cannot stand. They were always ready to fall on the ground and to creep. They don’t have the backbone, the spine; they don’t have the integrity to stand alone.
A mature person has the integrity to stand alone. And when a mature person gives love, he or she gives without any strings attached to it.
When two mature persons are in love, one of the great paradoxes of life happens, one of the most beautiful phenomena: they are together and yet tremendously alone. They are together so much that they are almost one. Two mature persons in love help each other to become more free. There is no politics involved, no diplomacy, no effort to dominate.
Only freedom and love.
Beautiful, isn’t it?
I believe that each and every one of us should rise and bloom while we are in a relationship, be it marriage, be it friendship, be it parenthood. In the presence of someone we love we should be charged with light, with energy, with optimism and pure joy. That’s also what the other person should feel when they are around us.
We should all feel the sparkle, the magic, but also the balance, the comfort and the freedom of being in love.
On a personal note, that’s exactly how I feel when I am with my husband and our beloved daughter. I feel like I’m on top of the world. ♥
What do you think? And what do you think about the photos featuring Charlize Theron & Sean Penn? Isn’t that the look of love?
Wishing you a beautiful, love-filled weekend,
